HADMADE WEST VIRGINIA HOPS ORNAMENT

Made completely by hand in the Full Circle Studio, these ornaments celebrate the diverse community of craft beer lovers in the Mountain State.

Using a detailed cutter, we cut West Virginia shapes from a sheet of speckled stoneware clay and stamp each one with an impression of a hops flower and leaves.

Once a hole is made for hanging and they are completely dry, the ornaments are fired in the kiln to 1900 degrees for a bisque firing.

Next each ornament is sanded until it is perfectly smooth, rinsed and allowed to dry overnight. Then a wash of dark brown underglaze is applied and sponged away from the raised areas, permanently marked on the back with the Full Circle logo, loaded back into the kiln and fired to 2600 degrees.

Once cool, we string each ornament with a leather cord for hanging.
