Using a cookie cutter, Noelle cuts out each individual ornament from a sheet of stoneware clay. Once a hole is made for hanging, a contrasting color of underglaze is applied and Noelle carves back through this color to reveal the word or words on the ornament. The ornaments are then allowed to dry completely and fired in the kiln to 1900 degrees for a bisque firing. Next they are glazed by hand with a clear glaze and fired again to 2600 degrees. Once cool, strings are added for hanging and the ornaments are ready for you to enjoy and share with family and friends.
*Please note that, since each ornament is created by hand, there may be slight variations from one ornament to the next.
