This beautiful print is based on a watercolor illustration by West Virginia artist Rosalie Haizlett.
Rosalie has this to say about her work:
This watercolor art print shines a spotlight on the common pawpaw tree, also nicknamed the "Appalachian Banana". This tree grows throughout the eastern United States (except New England and Florida) and produces a tropical-tasting fruit that is celebrated throughout the region. I particularly love the moody, crimson blossoms that emerge in springtime.
My prints are created by a local print shop in West Virginia and they are printed on heavy, textured paper for the look and feel of watercolor paper. I sign each print before it goes off to its new home.
