Originally published in Walt Whitman's 1855 work Leaves of Grass, the full quote reads:
“TO the States or any one of them, or any city of the States, Resist much, obey little,
Once unquestioning obedience, once fully enslaved,
Once fully enslaved, no nation, state, city of this earth, ever after-ward resumes its liberty.”
We made our first version of this shirt when we opened the shop in 2016 and it feels even more relevant today than it did then. This latest iteration features the most Appalachian of animals, a Virginia opossum, reared up and ready to fight.
All Full Circle shirts feature original designs created by Noelle and Scott in our Huntington, West Virginia shop and studio.
Locally screen printed by Mountain Mindful, a socially conscious screen printing shop located in Huntington, on a super soft Bella + Canvas Unisex Triblend Tee.
